Abstract

The aim of this study was to provide comprehensive information on a test tool related to motor development that is not widely used in Turkey. In our study, using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, we searched the Web of Science, Pubmed, Google Scholar, Researchgate and Academia databases for “Motorische Basiskompetenzen”, “MOBAK” “MOBAK 1” “MOBAK 1-2” A search was performed with the keywords 'Motorische Basiskompetenzen -1' 'Motorische Basiskompetenzen 1-2'. Our study consists of a compilation of studies conducted in the last 10 years as of January 2025. Of the 41 studies, 12 studies that met the inclusion criteria were evaluated. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the modified Downs and Black checklist. Of the included studies, eleven were cross-sectional and one was experimental in design. The variables are gender, age, body mass index, sporting status, quality of life and social relations. In conclusion, it has been determined that the MOBAK 1-2 test battery is an internationally valid, reliable, and pedagogically robust tool for assessing children’s basic motor competencies; furthermore, its widespread implementation in Turkish school settings is a necessity for monitoring motor development and standardizing physical education programs.
