The Evolution of Sport Policies in Turkey Within the Framework of Development Plans

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to thoroughly analyze the progression of sports policies within the context of Development Plans in Turkey and to elucidate how these policies are incorporated into contemporary development plans by delineating the transformation and advancement of sports policies over time. The study seeks to elucidate the evolution of the role of sports in society and the state's strategic methodologies in sports policy. This context examines the historical evolution of sports policies in Turkey, their role in development plans, the social and economic aspects of sports, and their alignment with international sports strategies. The potential future shaping of sports policies and their possible societal impacts are also assessed. The study concluded that sports policies in Turkey are crucial for attaining national development objectives, and their effective implementation will engage all societal segments, fostering a healthy, active, and competitive social framework. It is underscored that sports policies must be devised and executed to enhance the quality of life for both athletes and all societal members.
