Analyzing the Correlation Between Nomophobia and Physical Activity Levels Among University Students

This study aims to investigate the correlation between university students' levels of nomophobia and their levels of physical activity. The study was structured using a survey model grounded in the quantitative research paradigm. The research comprised 258 university students, consisting of 136 females and 122 males, with a mean age of 22.90±4.242 years, selected via simple random sampling. The Nomophobia questionnaire created by Yıldırım and Correia (2015) assessed participants' Nomophobia levels, while the International Physical Activity questionnaire, adapted into Turkish by Öztürk (2005), evaluated their physical activity levels. The data were analyzed using the SPSS software. An analysis of normality was conducted on the data. Pearson Correlation analysis was utilized to investigate the relationship between participants' levels of nomophobia and their levels of physical activity. The analysis revealed no statistically significant correlation between participants' nomophobia levels and their physical activity levels (p>.05). The results indicate an absence of correlation between nomophobia and physical activity.
